Quality Control Assistant

Diversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for a Quality Control Assistant for you of our elite clients in Jersey Village. The Quality Control Assistant supports the Quality Control Manager in monitoring, inspecting, and documenting quality‑related processes within a metal building accessory manufacturing environment. This role helps ensure all products meet internal quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Daily coordination — Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to review ongoing projects, special tasks, and one‑off assignments.
Quality monitoring — Observe quality control activities across departments and report nonconformances promptly.
Product inspection — Inspect finished products and crates for accuracy, packaging quality, and compliance with specifications.
Inventory verification — Assist team leaders with inventory counts and verification of product quantities.
Documentation accuracy — Maintain proper quality stamps, signatures, and documentation on work orders.
Communication & safety — Communicate quality‑related updates to support a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Recordkeeping — Maintain organized quality control files, records, and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Prior experience in manufacturing, quality control, or inspection preferred.
Familiarity with metal building accessories or industrial products is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Basic computer proficiency for documentation and data entry.
Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, team leaders, and production staff.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
Visual acuity to identify defects in products and packaging.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a manufacturing plant, with occasional work in office or storage areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.

COMPENSATION: $16-$18
