Hands-on Shop Inspector for my ASME pressure vessel fabrication facility in Houston.

This is not a desk/QC paperwork role — This will be actively working on the shop floor and performing inspections during fabrication.

Key Requirements:
- Recent experience in an ASME pressure vessel manufacturing facility (required)
- Experience with pressure vessels and associated piping components
- Strong dimensional inspection experience during fabrication
- Ability to verify fit-ups against approved drawings
- Must be able to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
- Proficient with weld gauges, tape measure, calipers, and standard inspection tools
- Solid understanding of welding processes and shop fabrication practices

Scope of Work:
- In-process inspections (layout, fit-up, pre/post weld, assembly)
- Dimensional verification of vessels and components
- Identifying and communicating non-conformances
- Supporting final inspections

Notes:
- CWI is NOT required
- Must have recent, hands-on shop-floor inspection experience — not just documentation or audit roles

Compensation:

$25-$40/hr Depending on Experience
