SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position—called Process Operator—is primarily focused in manufacturing process areas, though duties may shift based on business needs. Operators must understand and apply safety, quality, capacity, and continuous improvement principles in all assigned work. Once trained, the Operator is expected to be proficient in their designated area, with a goal of gaining full cross-training. Responsibilities include safely running equipment, reducing waste, improving quality, and contributing to a team-focused production environment. Additional tasks may include keeping the workspace clean and organized.
SCHEDULE INFORMATION
- Training will occur on 1st shift for the first 2–3 weeks (depends on how fast you pick up on the training):
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- After training move to:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM; Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND DUTIES
- Assembly, inspection, labeling, packing, and preparation of products for shipment
- Setup and operation of process equipment, including troubleshooting and changeovers
- Work safely and productively using established procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Participate in safety programs (mandatory)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Must be able to pick up, label, and pack materials regularly
- Vision and hearing ability must meet job requirements
- Move and roll items up to 140 lbs., with assistance as needed
- Occasionally handle containers over 150–240 lbs.
- Must be able to maintain focus and task completion in an active environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS
- Regular exposure to mechanical equipment and energetic materials
- Indoor manufacturing setting with occasional exposure to temperature variations
- Moderate noise levels; hearing protection is provided
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass an 18 ATF background
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively (written & verbal)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
