JOB TITLE: SENIOR FACILITIES MANAGER
The Senior Facilities Manager will oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of light industrial assets. This is a hands-on, field-based role for an experienced operator who takes ownership of their buildings and approaches each asset with an investor mindset. The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining property condition, executing repairs and light construction work, and ensuring a high level of tenant service. This role is critical to protecting asset value, minimizing downtime, and driving consistent execution across the portfolio.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Respond to tenant service requests quickly and resolve issues with a high level of accountability
- Conduct routine property inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
- Maintain strong property conditions with a focus on safety, functionality, and curb appeal
- Perform and/or coordinate general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Diagnose issues, troubleshoot in the field, and execute repairs efficiently
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to reduce recurring issues
- Perform and support light construction work including tenant improvements, repairs, and small capital projects
- Coordinate scopes, materials, and timelines to ensure efficient execution
- Work alongside or manage vendors to complete projects to building standards
- Source, schedule, and oversee third-party vendors as needed
- Hold vendors accountable to scope, quality, and cost expectations
- Self-perform work when appropriate to drive efficiency
- Manage work orders, updates, and documentation within company systems
- Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed and property conditions
- Communicate regularly with property management on priorities, issues, and project status
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures and operational standards
- Ensure properties are maintained in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related field
- Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in the field
- Experience executing light construction or tenant improvement work
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple properties and priorities
- Experience working with vendors and managing scopes of work
- Proficiency with property management systems; Yardi experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between properties
- Experience in light industrial or commercial real estate environments
- Trade background or technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, etc.)
- EPA certification or similar credentials
