 Monday – Friday, full-time hours
 Core business hours with flexibility based on business and travel needs
 
CONTRACT TERM
12-month contract (June 1, 2026 – May 28, 2027)
 Potential for extension and long-term opportunity
 
INTERVIEW PROCESS
1 round of video interviews
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
50–60% travel required
 Domestic travel throughout the West Americas region with occasional international travel to Canada, Mexico, and other supplier locations as needed
 
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Supplier Quality Engineer I is responsible for managing the quality performance of assigned suppliers and ensuring products and components consistently meet engineering and specification requirements. This role supports supplier qualification activities, manufacturing process evaluations, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems, supplier quality experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage supplier qualifications and ensure supplier capability to meet engineering and specification requirements
 • Support supplier onboarding activities, including quality and compliance audits
 • Own manufacturing process and product qualification activities at assigned suppliers
 • Conduct supplier surveillance audits and process evaluations
 • Organize and perform supplier inspections to ensure product quality compliance
 • Support customer witness inspections including FAT and COP inspections
 • Witness testing activities at independent third-party laboratories
 • Manage Supplier Responsibility Governance (SRG) metrics and audits
 • Collect and analyze Critical to Quality (CTQ) process data and drive process improvements
 • Manage supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), service notices, warranty claims, supplier recoveries, and deviation requests
 • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions
 • Serve as technical interface between suppliers, sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams
 • Provide technical guidance to suppliers regarding engineering drawings and specifications
 • Support sourcing and engineering teams during supplier development and design reviews
 • Drive adherence to quality procedures, standards, and specifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field
 • 8–10 years of hands-on industry experience in controls, electrical, or electronics engineering, manufacturing, or quality
 • Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Supplier Quality
 • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation
 • Experience with Mark VIe, PCBAs, wire harnesses, cables, control cabinets, sensors, transducers, switches, and control transformers
 • Strong background in PCBA quality inspection and evaluation
 • Ability to interpret wiring schematics and logic circuits
 • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 • Project management experience and ability to work cross-functionally
 • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced technical degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
 • Experience in instrumentation systems and power generation equipment manufacturing
 • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
 • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISO, ANSI, NEMA, and Nuclear Industry Standards (N299.2, N299.3)
 • ISO Lead Auditor certification
 • Formal RCA/problem-solving certification (8D, Kepner-Tregoe, Apollo, etc.)
 • Experience in Gas Turbine Power Plant operations or maintenance
 • Strong supplier development and process improvement background
 • Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and influencing skills
 • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to issue resolution
 
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Combination of office, manufacturing, and supplier site environments
 • Frequent domestic and international travel to supplier locations
 • Exposure to manufacturing and industrial environments
 • Ability to conduct onsite audits, inspections, and supplier evaluations
 • May require extended periods standing, walking, and inspecting manufacturing processes
