Equipment Asset Manager
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid after training is complete)
Pay: $75,000-100,000 (Comp can vary on experience) + Benefits, 401K, PTO
Travel: Ideally 2x per month in the first several months to develop relationships with current vendors
Interviews: 1st round Video call w/ HR, 2nd round On Site w/ HR, EVP, & AVP of the group
General Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-driven Equipment Asset Manager to lead the evaluation, remarketing, and disposition of off-lease equipment. This hybrid role blends asset management, valuation, and sales strategy to optimize asset recovery and support the continued expansion of our equipment portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Partner with vendors and industry experts to secure accurate valuations of specialized equipment
- Prepare comprehensive asset valuation reports for internal review and sales strategies
- Maximize returns by remarketing and selling off-lease equipment at or above expected value
- Evaluate sales offers using historical data, residual values, and market trends
- Negotiate sales and purchase agreements with vendors and secondary market buyers
- Oversee the logistics of equipment returns, including freight coordination
- Analyze audit and condition reports to determine equipment status and advise on customer chargebacks
- Establish and standardize chargeback policies across asset types and condition levels
- Develop equipment return condition guidelines for lease agreements
- Monitor the portfolio’s equipment values against book value and market benchmarks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Industry experience with construction or comparable heavy equipment
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable in tech-centric environments
Preferred:
- 5+ years in asset management, equipment leasing, or equipment sales
- Deep understanding of the equipment leasing lifecycle and secondary market dynamics
- Prior sales experience
