MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and our local client are NOW HIRING a 3rd Shift Quality Technician in Indianapolis, IN (Park 100 area)!

Position Details

Job Title: Quality Technician
Pay: $24.55/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Park 100)

Job Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality checks on materials, processes, and finished products to ensure all company and customer standards are met. This role also supports a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

Monitor and document production variables, downtime, and product samples
Ensure proper material blending and adherence to recipe specifications (time, temperature, etc.)
Review test results and production parameters
Perform line checks and enforce quality standards
Execute product holds and report non-conforming results
Conduct HACCP verifications and complete quality deviation reports

Continuous Improvement

Support initiatives such as 5S, TPM, and team-based problem solving
Assist in training development (OPLs, SPIs, presentations)
Participate in audits and continuous skills development

Laboratory & Testing

Prepare and maintain lab equipment and testing reagents
Conduct sensory analysis and product testing
Perform environmental swabs and root cause analysis
Investigate customer and consumer complaints
Perform foreign material investigations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
At least 3 months of experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience in food manufacturing or packaging
Experience with automated systems (PLCs/MMIs)
Familiarity with USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb, and move throughout shift
Ability to work around lab equipment, machinery, and PPE requirements
Exposure to manufacturing and sanitation environments
