A well-established global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior People Operations Partner to support a large manufacturing and distribution operation in Jackson, Tennessee. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting hourly operations across multiple shifts while partnering closely with plant leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, recruiting, and employee relations initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, visible on the plant floor, and actively involved in helping leaders and employees succeed in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leadership to support employee relations, workforce engagement, and performance management initiatives
- Lead hourly recruiting, onboarding, and talent processes for manufacturing and distribution teams
- Coach supervisors and managers on employee issues, policy interpretation, and leadership best practices
- Investigate and resolve employee relations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Support HR programs across multiple shifts and ensure consistent application of policies and processes
- Assist with employee engagement, retention, training, and recognition initiatives
- Maintain HRIS accuracy and support ongoing process improvement efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational environments
- Strong employee relations and leadership coaching experience
- Experience supporting hourly workforces and multi-shift operations
- Ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certification a plus
