Print/Press Operator
Our client, a custom embroidering company, is seeking an extremely motivated and accountable individual to join their Print/Press Operating Team. Our client is looking for a candidate who has attention to detail, takes initiative and enjoys the art of screen printing overall. Our client takes pride in the quality of every print that is produced. Due to their line of perfection, they are providing top-of-the-line equipment and supplies that the Print/Press Operator and team are responsible for upkeep.
Print/Press Operator Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual screen-printing presses for multi-color jobs.
- Align screens, set squeegees, and mix inks to match job specifications.
- Inspect garments and prints for quality assurance throughout the production process.
- Load and unload garments onto the press consistently and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs completed and materials used.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of press and work area.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure workflow and deadlines are met.
- Troubleshoot printing issues including registration, ink consistency, and press alignment.
- Assist in reclaiming screens, coating, burning, and other pre-press or post-press tasks as needed.
Print/Press Operator Qualifications/Skills
- Proven experience as a manual screen-printing press operator (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of screen-printing processes, inks, and garment types.
- Familiarity with plastisol and water-based inks.
- Experience with different garment types (cotton, blends, synthetics).
- Basic understanding of color theory and Pantone matching.
- Cross-training in prepress (screen coating/exposure) or postpress (curing, folding, packing) is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
Print/Press Operator Requirements

More details regarding the Embroidery Operator Role:
- Pay $21 – $26 (Hourly)
- Job Type: Full-Time.
- Location: Chicago, IL.
- Shift – 2nd – 4PM to 12:30AM.
- Benefits: Health Insurance.
- Work Location: In person.
