RECRUITING ASSISTANT
Snelling Staffing is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiting Assistant to support our staffing team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to grow within the staffing industry. The Recruiting Assistant will help with essential recruiting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient staffing operations for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
Starting Pay: $20.00-22.00/hr, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities of Recruiting Assistant:
- Sourcing candidates and making resume calls to engage potential talent through job boards and databases
- Conduct reference checks and employment verifications
- Assist with resume review, formatting, and organizing candidate profiles
- Schedule interviews between candidates and recruiters or clients
- Make initial outreach calls to potential candidates (resume calling)
- Help facilitate the onboarding process including paperwork and orientation
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system
- Post job advertisements on various platforms and job boards
- Help monitor and maintain the candidate pipeline for open job orders
- Assist with coordinating temporary assignments and availability follow-up
- Support general office operations and provide excellent candidate experience
Qualifications for Recruiting Assistant:
- 2-3 years previous administrative experience required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow in the staffing industry
