About This Job
As a junk removal Crew Associate, you will safely load unwanted items from homes and businesses across North Texas, and help deliver these loads to landfills, recycling centers, and other drop-off locations. You will work with a Crew Leader, who will assist you in lifting and carrying heavier objects, and in safely operating the truck at all times.
Experience with moving, hauling, driving, and warehouse jobs is a big plus!
What You Will Do
- Travel with your Crew Leader to locations across the Dallas / Fort Worth area in a company truck
- Visit worksites, including private homes and businesses, to remove unwanted items, including trash, furniture, appliances, clothing, boxes, crates, vehicle parts, and other objects, by loading these into the back of the truck
Safely operate the truck’s flatbed and dumpster attachments for hauling loads, with supervision from the Crew Leader - Provide excellent customer service, treating every client and their property with respect
- Perform all removal and delivery operations, including loading / unloading the truck, with the assistance of the Crew Leader
- Other duties as assigned by management
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, without assistance, multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to lift and carry heavier items with assistance
- Highly-motivated with a great attitude
Requirements and Qualifications
- Steel-toed boots must be worn at all times
- Clean driving record required
Work Environment and Demands
This job will require you to drive a large vehicle (pickup truck) and perform manual labor primarily in an outdoor setting and in a variety of environmental conditions. You may be required to drive in or otherwise exposed to precipitation, extreme hot / cold, wind, dust, etc. The noise level will typically be moderate.
