Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Field Service Representative (FSR) to join our team. The FSR will be responsible for delivering on-site service, support, and technical assistance to clients. This position requires travel to client sites to install, repair, troubleshoot, or maintain products and services. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills, technical aptitude, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients at job sites, addressing concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
- Service Delivery: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair company products or equipment in the field according to company standards and specifications.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or software/hardware issues in coordination with engineering or support teams.
- Training & Guidance: Educate customers on product usage, safety procedures, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Accurately document service visits, repairs, and client interactions in CRM or service management systems.
- Feedback Loop: Report recurring issues or customer insights to the operations, sales, or product teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Adhere to safety and regulatory standards at all times, including OSHA and company-specific requirements.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and account for all tools, parts, and materials issued for field use.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years in a field service, technical support, or maintenance role. Industry-specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, telecom, medical devices) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and mobile devices
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; relevant industry certifications a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying field conditions (indoor/outdoor, noise, temperature).
