Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Service Combo Technician with experience in fire alarm, security, and access control systems to support commercial and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale installations, upgrades, and service work across multiple job sites.
This position is ideal for a well-rounded technician who is comfortable working in the field, traveling as needed, and interacting with customers while delivering high-quality installations and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm, security, and access control systems
- Perform system upgrades, device replacements, and new installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of low-voltage systems
- Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Work Options
Service Technician
- Troubleshooting, inspections, and service work
- Primarily local work with limited travel
- Home most nights
Compensation ($30-$42 p/hr)
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications
- Additional compensation for licensed and certified technicians
- Travel pay and per diem (for traveling roles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Fire alarm systems
- Access control systems
- Security / intrusion systems
- CCTV systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Certifications & Licensing (Preferred)
- State-specific Fire Alarm License (where applicable)
- NICET Certification (any level)
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus
Note: Highly experienced technicians without current licensing may be considered depending on experience and project needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in various job site conditions
- Ability to travel and work extended hours when required
