APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Detroit, MI looking to add forklift drivers for a month-long project. Their primary responsibility will be to safely move, organize, load, and stage materials throughout the warehouse to support daily operations and project timelines. Keep reading for more details!
What’s in it for you:
- 3rd shift - Sunday to Thursday from 11pm-7am
- Competitive hourly rate
- Contract position – estimated to last approximately 1 month long
What your day will look like:
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipments while verifying materials and quantities
- Move raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and inventory throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Stage materials for shipping, receiving, production, or special warehouse projects
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and product tracking using scanners or warehouse systems
- Inspect products and shipments for damage, labeling accuracy, and quality standards
- Support warehouse reorganization projects, inventory transfers, and material relocation efforts
- Maintain clean aisles, organized inventory locations, and safe forklift operating conditions
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment or safety concerns immediately
- Work closely with shipping, receiving, production, and warehouse teams to meet daily goals and deadlines
- Follow all OSHA, warehouse safety, and company operating procedures
What we are looking for:
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment in tight spaces and fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills
