Electronic Assembler

OVERVIEW

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and follow production drawings, work orders, and assembly instructions
Install and align electronic components on circuit boards and in assemblies
Perform various joining operations (crimping, soldering, welding, riveting)
Mount components and subassemblies into racks, cases, and cabinets
Conduct quality inspections and testing of assembled products
Execute intermediate assembly tasks (potting, cleaning, epoxy bonding)
Set up workstations with correct documentation and components
Perform basic repairs and maintenance
Document and communicate process issues
Collect and record quality control data
Assist in training new operators (higher grades)

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-7 years of electronics assembly experience (varies by grade level)
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to read and follow technical instructions
Basic computer skills
Ability to use microscopes for extended periods

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (50 lbs for systems work)
- Able to push racks up to 200 lbs
- Extended periods of sitting and precise hand movements
- Color vision and close-up visual acuity required

Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to repetitive motion work
- Possible exposure to chemicals
- Clean room/manufacturing floor setting
