Pay: $140.00 - $150.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: Denver, CO 80204 (onsite, Level III NICU)
Schedule: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available (7a-7p, 7p-7a, or 7a-7a), flexible rotating schedule
Start: June 2026
Duration: Approximately 7 weeks with potential extension

About the Role
ShareSTAFF is hiring experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) for a locum tenens assignment at a high-acuity Level III NICU in Denver, Colorado. This is a high-hour opportunity supporting complex neonatal care, including extreme preterm deliveries and high-risk obstetric cases. You will work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, pediatric residents, neonatal nurses, and allied health professionals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment averaging 16-18 patient encounters per shift and supporting 10-12 deliveries per day.

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive clinical care for neonates in a high-acuity Level III NICU setting
- Attend high-risk deliveries and resuscitate neonates in collaboration with the neonatology team
- Perform admission history, physical exams, and ongoing assessments for NICU patients
- Manage ventilator support, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and adjust treatment plans
- Write orders, document clinical notes, and coordinate care with attending neonatologists, pediatric residents, and nursing staff
- Support and educate families through family-centered care communication
- Work independently during overnight and call shifts, escalating to attending as clinically indicated
- Follow all facility protocols, evidence-based NICU practice guidelines, and Joint Commission standards
What You Bring - Required
- Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner License in good standing (required to start)
- National board certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) through NCC (required)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
- Prior clinical experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in a Level II, III, or IV NICU
- Active DEA Certificate (required to start)
- Current BLS certification
- Comfort working independently, including overnight coverage in a high-acuity setting
- Ability to pass pre-assignment background check, drug screen, and health/credentialing clearance
What You Bring - Preferred
- Experience with extreme preterm deliveries, high-risk obstetrics, and complex neonatal cases
- Prior locum tenens experience
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience in a teaching hospital environment with pediatric residents
- Local Denver-area candidates preferred; well-qualified travel candidates will be considered
