About the Role
Supplemental Medical Director income for a California-licensed, Board-Certified Radiologist or Cardiologist. Serve as Medical Director and Supervising Physician (general supervision) for a growing mobile ultrasound imaging company operating in Sacramento and Los Angeles. This is a low-burden supervisory role with scalable reading opportunities, designed to coexist alongside an existing full-time practice. Per Medical Board guidance, radiologists commonly serve as Medical Directors for up to three ultrasound companies concurrently while maintaining full-time positions. Fully remote, no on-site requirement.

- $2,000 per month base Medical Director stipend (guaranteed regardless of study volume)
- $20 per ultrasound study interpretation fee (optional, scalable as units are added)

- Remote interpretation with limited administrative oversight responsibilities
- Scalable reading volume as additional ultrasound units are deployed across California
What You'll Do
- Serve as Medical Director and Supervising Physician (general supervision) for mobile diagnostic ultrasound operations across California coverage areas
- Review and approve imaging protocols to ensure clinical appropriateness and quality standards
- Provide clinical oversight and quality assurance reviews
- Interpret ultrasound studies and deliver timely reports (optional; per-study compensation)
- Collaborate with sonographers and operational staff on clinical questions and protocol adjustments
- Maintain compliance with California medical practice standards for supervising physicians
What You Bring - Required
- Active California medical license (MD or DO) in good standing
- Board Certification in Radiology (ABR) OR Board Certification in Cardiology (ABIM) with diagnostic ultrasound experience
- Experience interpreting diagnostic ultrasound studies
- Experience with clinical oversight, quality assurance, and general supervision requirements
- Must be able to complete pre-placement requirements
What You Bring - Preferred
- Prior experience as a Medical Director or Supervising Physician
- Experience in mobile imaging, outpatient imaging, or teleradiology
- Experience overseeing multiple imaging sites or multi-location operations
- Comfort working in a growth-stage environment with scaling operations
