Administrative Assistant
Pay: $27.52/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday ( 6+ Months)
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Position Summary-
This role supports a public-facing organization’s community engagement efforts by coordinating events such as facility open houses, safety fairs, and educational programs. The position works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events and communications are organized and delivered effectively.
Key responsibilities include managing event logistics, maintaining databases, preparing promotional materials, editing communications, and assisting with budgeting and procurement. The role also contributes to social media, newsletters, and internal communications. Success in this position requires strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills, serving as a central support resource for programs that strengthen community connections.
Essential Job Duties-
- Coordinate logistics for community events such as open houses, safety fairs, and public tours
- Create, edit, and design promotional materials, presentations, and newsletter content
- Maintain and update contact databases for municipalities and community stakeholders
- Support internal communications through organizational briefing tools
- Contribute content to social media and digital communication platforms
- Track inventory and order materials for public programs and events
- Assist with budget tracking and administrative purchasing processes
- Provide general administrative support to communications and community outreach teams
- Act as a collaborative liaison between internal staff and external partners
Requirements-
- Minimum of 2+ years of full-time administrative experience
- High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred
- Strong proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations)
- Demonstrates a proactive learning mindset and adaptability
- Solid understanding of general office procedures and operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized, calm, and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
- Experience with digital communications, event coordination, and customer service is a plus
