Job Title: General Laborer / Truss Assembler
Location: Shelby, NC

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift:
1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
May require mandatory overtime on Saturdays, 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer / Truss Assembler to join a manufacturing team that produces engineered wood trusses for residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble roof and floor trusses according to specifications and blueprints
Measure, cut, and position lumber and components accurately
Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely
Assist with material handling, loading, and staging of finished products
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or general labor experience preferred but not required
Must have a stable work history and the ability to follow instructions
Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and fractions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment

Work Environment & Requirements:

Climate-controlled facility
Standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks required
Hands-on production setting
PPE required: steel-toed boots/shoes and safety glasses
Dress code required: long pants and long-sleeve shirt
