ComResource is looking for a Business Analyst – SharePoint Modernization.
We need someone to assist in evaluating, documenting, and coordinating the migration of legacy SharePoint 2016 content to modern platforms, supporting inventory, disposition, and modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory and categorize applications, data, sites, and subsites from on-prem SharePoint 2016 environments.
- Evaluate system requirements and determine disposition for each asset.
- Facilitate migration planning and coordination to one of two target platforms:
- SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
- SharePoint Subscription Edition (On-Prem SE)
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper classification and migration of assets.
- Document processes, procedures, and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical SharePoint migration teams.
- Track and report on progress of inventory and migration efforts.
Essentials:
- Experience as a Business Analyst supporting SharePoint migration or modernization efforts.
- Familiarity with SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365), and SharePoint SE.
- Strong organizational skills to support large-scale data/application inventory and categorization.
- Experience in requirements gathering, disposition analysis, and process documentation.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to facilitate clear migration strategies.
Desired:
- Technical familiarity with SharePoint migrations and common tools used in SharePoint modernization.
- Previous experience acting as the point of contact for SharePoint migrations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise content management or knowledge management projects.
