The Job
We are seeking a Driller Helper to work alongside a drilling crew on geotechnical and construction projects across Central Ohio.
This is a hands-on, physical, outdoor job. You’ll be working with heavy equipment, drilling rigs, and tools — not sitting behind a desk.
If you’ve worked in construction, landscaping, concrete, roofing, or any labor-heavy role, you’ll fit well here.
This job involves overnight travel during the week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist the Driller with operating drilling rigs and equipment (CME rigs)
- Load and unload tools, drill rods, and materials
- Help set up and break down job sites
- Collect soil and rock samples
- Maintain equipment and keep the job site clean and organized
- Follow safety procedures and work as part of a crew
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Schedule & Travel
- Monday–Friday schedule (8–10+ hour days, overtime available)
- Travel with the crew during the week
- Hotel paid by company (Monday–Thursday nights)
- Daily per diem provided for meals while traveling
- Home most weekends
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and shows up ready to work
- Construction, labor, or equipment experience
- Comfortable with physical labor (lifting 75 lbs, working on your feet all day)
- Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold, mud, and rough conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to follow direction and work as part of a team
Big Plus (Not Required)
- Mechanical skills
- OSHA certification
- CDL or interest in getting one
