Job Description

This role is with a company specializing in the distribution of industrial piping products, valves, and related equipment for a variety of industries. The position focuses on supporting the company’s mission to provide high-quality valve solutions and services, ensuring operational reliability for both facility and customer needs. It offers hands-on technical experience in maintaining and servicing critical valve and actuation systems while interacting with industrial clients.

Responsibilities:

Repair ball, gate, globe, check, and butterfly valves, as well as actuators, at the facility or customer sites.
Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at assigned worksites.
Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in-process inspection, lapping, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various valve types and actuators.
Complete field service reports and submit them to the job coordinator after work completion.
Understand and work with pneumatic and digital controls.
Reference valve manuals to ensure proper repair procedures are followed.
Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding valve and instrumentation equipment and customer requirements.
Obtain site-specific and safety training required for performing valve repair services.
Maintain driver eligibility and perform regular preventative maintenance on company-owned vehicles.
Assist other team members as needed.
Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required, 2-year Associate Degree in a mechanical field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of valve production or repair experience (FIELD SERVICE)
Ability to read blueprints and other technical diagrams
Good communication and customer service skills
Understanding of pneumatic and digital controls
Ability to reference valve manuals for repair requirements
Willingness to assist in other areas of the department as needed
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods
Able to work in varied operating conditions, including heat, cold, or clean room environments

The base pay range for this position is $65,000–$75,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
