ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
1. Successful commercialization of newly developed products
2. Reduction of new product non-conformance at development stage
3. Expediting new product development timeline
4. Engineering analysis at prototype stage to remove barriers to successful commercialization
5. Development of a technical resource for the sales team

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Responsible for managing and being the champion of new product development from
initial new business win to full commercialization of product to the customer’s
satisfaction.
2. Act as an engineering interface between our salespeople and new product supply chain.
3. Participates in technical discussions, if required, at the request for quote (RFQ) stage
of new product development.
4. Evaluate the feasibility of post extrusion processes as requested by customer. This can
include machining, plating, welding, bending, assembly or other operations requested
by customer. Work on development of post extrusion process if required
5. Monitor progress of proto-type and first article sample development from extrusion to
all necessary post extrusion operations.
6. Perform mortality studies when proto-type samples do not meet customer requirements
and work with Technology and Production group to devise engineering solutions.
7. Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) analysis, if required, with assistance of local
Universities and Technical institutions to compare different metals, alloys and
geometries as it relates to meeting customer requirements.
8. Perform SPC and capability analysis for new product supply chain to ensure there is
a good process in place to meet customer requirements once proto-type or first article
samples are successfully produced.
9. Attend magnesium technical seminars and conferences to promote and be current with
state of the art magnesium technology.
