Utility Locator Technician

Location: St. Michael, MN

Wage: $18/hr.

Hours:

Training Schedule:

Week 1: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Weeks 2 & 3: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Regular Schedule (Post-Training):

Rotating 1st shift schedule
10-hour days / 40 hours per week

Duties of the utility locator technician:

Use specialized equipment to locate underground utilities
Accurately read and follow utility maps and blueprints
Mark utility lines according to local/state regulations
Interact with contractors, homeowners, and team members
Document and maintain records of work completed

Requirements of the utility locator technician:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Reliable, self-directed, and safety-focused
Prior experience in locating or construction is a plus
