Heavy Assemblers Wanted – Freeport Area  

FurstStaffing is hiring Heavy Assemblers to help build large, high-quality units in a hands-on manufacturing environment. If you like working with tools, blueprints, and seeing a finished product you helped created, then this role is for you. 

Pay: $18.50/hr 

Benefits: Furst Benefits
Schedule: 

• Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm 

• Overtime: up to 4:30pm + possible Saturdays (announced weekly) 

What You’ll Do: 

• Assemble large and heavy sub-assemblies using hand and power tools 

• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions 

• Install components like compressors, fans, plumbing, wiring, sensors, and tubing 

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks 

• Prep finished units for shipping (packing, labeling, palletizing) 

• Operate equipment such as stud welders, wing benders, torque wrenches, and lifts 

• Follow safety, quality, and 5S standards every day 

What We’re Looking For: 

• High school diploma (preferred) 

• 0–2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience (helpful, not required) 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on your feet 

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team 

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 

• Safety- and quality-focused mindset
