Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Service Manager for our client. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating technician schedules and dispatch activities, and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery. This role supervises field technicians, supports operational efficiency, and helps maintain standardized service procedures in a fast-paced service environment.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Coordinate and manage the daily schedule for all field employees based on customer service and maintenance needs.
- Oversee daily dispatch operations including: Pre-work truck, tool, and chemical inventory checklists; Vehicle pre-trip inspections; Daily safety briefings
- Conduct post-dispatch activities including: Site audits; System assessments; Sampling activities
- Serve as a backup resource for field technicians as needed.
- Conduct daily technician debriefs and prepare teams for the following day’s work.
- Address outstanding operational or customer issues with management.
- Supervise and support a field team consisting of technicians and project management staff.
- Assist with employee performance management and coaching.
- Support the development and standardization of SOPs, scheduling tools, and operational processes.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Previous experience managing or supervising field technicians required
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple schedules effectively
- Experience coordinating dispatch, scheduling, or field operations preferred
- Proficient computer and administrative skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Experience in service-based, industrial, or technical environments preferred
- Water treatment experience is a plus, but not required
- Combination of office, field, and customer site environments
- Frequent interaction with technicians, customers, and leadership teams
- Ability to travel to customer or job sites as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift tools or equipment when supporting field operations
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
