Senior Data Analyst - Consumer / Voter Data

Our Client is a start-up PE/VC fund, focused on harnessing the power of cutting edge technology for social good. This team focuses on a diverse portfolio across public AI, start-ups, and public sector initiatives. We are partnered with them to find a Senior Campaign Research & Data Analyst, to build and operate the analytical engine for a voter research and persuasion program, identifying the most effective messages, audiences, and channels, in an effort to improve Democratic performance in upcoming elections.

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: NYC - Must be local to NYC-metro area and comfortable working onsite in midtown Manhattan 3x per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Required Skills & Technologies:

4+ years of professional hands-on experience that blends data science, engineering, and analytics
Hands-on experience commissioning and analyzing survey data, poll data, or focus group data (Or transferrable consumer research data)
Expertise in data modelling and data orchestration
Strong statistical and experimental design skills (ie Audience segmentation, message testing, etc.) - and experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar data tools
Strong experience QA'ing data, validating data, questioning data, etc.
Experience working with audience segmentation / targeting models
Strong analytical skills and experience translating data findings into actionable insights
Experience managing multiple data sources simultaneously
Experience analyzing campaign and marketing / media performance data across multiple platforms
Strong written and verbal presentation skills and ability to lead the room and present to executive leaders

Additional skills:

Degree in Data/Analytics/Stats, Computer Science, or similar STEM field
Experience working in a small-team / start-up environment
Experience working in hybrid research and data analytics role within a political campaign or elections context
Strong passion for philanthropy and social impact

Salary: +/- 150,000 - 175,000 base salary (based on experience), plus bonus
