We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk for one of our client partners in Fayetteville, AR. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the accounting department by ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are completed in a timely manner. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting positive vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and efficiently
Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports
Schedule and process payments including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable ledgers to ensure accuracy
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
Maintain organized vendor files and electronic financial records
Ensure invoices comply with company policies, approval procedures, and tax requirements
Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as needed
Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment status and account issues
Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting required
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial recordkeeping
Experience using accounting or ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
