Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill Direct Hire Setup Technician opening with a company in Maple Grove, MN. Interested candidates should have experience setting up plastic injection machinery, the ability to troubleshoot job runs and mechanical issues, and an understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Setup Technician Job Description:

Responsible for timely set-ups of all presses and auxiliary equipment in production.
Ensure all jobs and equipment is running to company specifications.
Install molds according to company specifications.
Troubleshoot and correct all molding and secondary discrepancies to ensure quality.
Start and restart all presses in accordance with specifications.
Ensure work area is clean and orderly at job completion.
Complete documentation and required.
Use 5-S suggestions form for set-up, process, or other improvements.
Must understand 5-S and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Setup Technician Job Requirement:

Must be capable of leaning all aspects of plastic injection molding methods, processes, and procedures.
Must have the ability to solve problems.
Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Computer literacy
Knowledge of production monitoring software is preferred.
Must be able to drive a forklift.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally.
Must have good vision, be able to stand, sit, walk, and drive.
Must be able to twist, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above and below should level.
Must be able to grasp and perform fine manipulation occasionally.
Must be able to tolerate heights.

Compensation for Setup Technician:

The starting salary for the Setup Technician position is $25-$28 per hour plus benefits, (health insurance, PTO, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Voluntary Life insurance, Short-term disability, long- term disability, 401K Plans, Pet Insurance, Time off and Leave information)
