Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Metal Stud Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial framing projects, including layout, installation of metal studs, and drywall backing systems. This role involves working on a variety of commercial construction sites, requiring precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout and install metal stud framing systems according to blueprints and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs and track for walls, ceilings, and partitions.
- Install backing, blocking, and support systems for drywall, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans accurately.
- Ensure framing is plumb, level, and square to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with other trades (electricians, plumbers, HVAC) to ensure proper placement and clearances.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in commercial metal stud framing required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of framing systems, layout techniques, and materials.
- Experience with drywall backing and structural framing is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites.
