Plasma Operator

First Call Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Plasma Operator for our client in Connersville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a range of equipment including Plasma Cutters, Blasters, and Abrasive Saws based on production needs. This role requires the ability to interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. A strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Load raw materials into feeder mechanisms; adjust machine speeds and clear jams or malfunctions as needed
Interpret blueprints, manuals, and drawings with accuracy
Set up, program, and operate machinery following detailed instructions and specifications
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, and fixtures using appropriate hand tools and measuring devices
Assemble and adjust machine tooling; replace tooling when necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Monitor and ensure proper operation of vacuum tables and Torit dust collectors; empty dust collector as required
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

Experience or knowledge of manual and turret presses
Proficient in using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers)
Solid understanding of quality control standards
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Positive attitude and self-motivated
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred
