HR Generalist
Pay: $30–$35 per hour
Location: Chester, CT
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support a busy and growing organization in the Chester area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, is comfortable handling multiple HR responsibilities, and can work both independently and as part of a small team.
The HR Generalist will support day-to-day HR functions including payroll, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, workers’ compensation, safety-related initiatives, and HR project work.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records
- Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Assisting with employee relations matters
- Coordinating FMLA, workers’ compensation, and related HR processes
- Participating in safety committee activities and HR projects
- Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all HR-related matters
- Providing professional HR support to employees and management
Ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ADP preferred
- Bilingual skills are strongly preferred, but not required
- Comfort working in a small HR team environment
