Maintenance Technician – Direct Hire
We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for a stable, full-time direct hire opportunity in the Cromwell, CT area. This role supports a multi-building industrial facility and is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and general building upkeep.
- Offering $25-35 per hour depending on experience.
- Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and inspect pumps, piping, heating/cooling systems, mixers, filters, and other mechanical equipment.
- Monitor boilers, cooling water, compressors, hydraulic systems, and wastewater systems to ensure proper operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication, oil changes, belt replacements, filter changes, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues with operations and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Drive a company truck to haul materials and supplies as needed.
- Complete general facility maintenance such as painting, drywall or concrete repair, and minor carpentry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical training or certificate preferred.
- 2–3 years of Maintenance Technician experience in an industrial or mechanical environment.
- Experience with piping systems, mechanical repairs, or industrial equipment strongly preferred.
- Ability to read drawings/blueprints, follow safety procedures, and maintain maintenance records.
- Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of plant and outdoor work with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and use of tools/equipment required.
- Must be able to safely use PPE and follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
