Shift: 2nd Shift I 4PM - 2AM

Salary: $16–$18/hr.

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Microscope Sorter for a leading manufacturer of precision machined parts! This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company that has a great culture.

Job Duties:

Perform quality inspections on precision machined components using a microscope, ring light, and/or gauges
Measure part dimensions and examine for visual defects such as cracks or blowholes
Sort and mark defective parts according to specified salvage procedures
Maintain consistent inspection accuracy and attention to detail
Ensure productivity standards and timeliness are met
Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work area
Use time efficiently and follow detailed work instructions
Document findings and communicate quality issues when necessary

Qualifications:

Prior experience working with microscopes or in quality inspection preferred
Ability to adjust microscope eyepieces and magnification
Strong attention to detail and visual acuity
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks without compromising quality
Ability to use basic math for measurements and inspection calculations
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Familiarity with inspection tools and gauges
Basic understanding of measurement units (fractions, decimals, percentages)
