- Pay: $19.22 hr min. BOE (same pay during training)
- Job Type: Full-time | Temp-to-hire
- Schedule:
- Regular Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM
- Training Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Overtime required as needed
Penmac Staffing in Independence is hiring a Quality Technician for a local manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The Quality Technician supports the company’s quality program by performing inspections throughout the manufacturing process and ensuring products meet customer and company specifications.
Quality Technician Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- Inspect fabrication, assembly, coating, and shipping operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and quality documents
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Identify and communicate quality issues professionally
- Document inspection results and assist with audits
- Support ISO/API quality systems and continuous improvement efforts
- Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues
Requirements for the Quality Technician
- 2–3 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of welding, CNC machining, forming, assembly, coating, or warehousing
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of inspection techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read prints and use basic computer programs
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screenings
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility, non-climate-controlled
- Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and forklift traffic
- Standing, walking, and use of inspection tools required
