CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer

Location: Brainerd, MN (on-site)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–1:30 PM (no nights or weekends)
Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer Position Summary

Penmac Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer for a well-established, family-owned job shop located in the Brainerd Industrial Park. This clean, organized facility manufactures precision components for the packaging industry and offers steady, long-term work in a supportive, team-oriented environment. CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines
• Edit and run CNC programs to produce quality parts efficiently
• Work with Hurco mills and Okuma lathes (training available)
• Read blueprints and inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot machining or basic programming issues
• Perform light manual machining as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and workflow

Requirements for the CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer

Required

• Ability to read blueprints and basic shop drawings
• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines
• Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn

Tools Required

• 6" caliper
• 1" micrometer
• Dead blow hammer

The company has these tools available for temporary use if needed. Once hired on by the client, each employee receives a $200 tool allowance, which more than covers the cost of these required tools. Preferred (not required)

• CNC programming experience (editing or creating programs)
• CAM software experience
• Technical training in machining or manufacturing
• Job shop or multi-part production experience

Equivalent experience will be considered, and training is available for motivated candidates.
