Material Handler Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks
• Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
• Supply production lines with materials as needed
• Verify inventory counts and properly store materials
• Move pallets and skids to and from machine areas
• Wrap, label, and stage finished products for shipment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including recycling stations
• Use inventory or ERP systems to track materials and job assignments

Requirements for the Material Handler

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of forklift or material handling experience preferred
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and in a loud environment
• Ability to work in varying temperature
