JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for all tasks pertaining to the unloading and loading of freight from trucks via Propane Counterbalance.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Efficiently and safely load and unload skids onto and from trucks via use of forklift.
• Organize freight on dock according to region.
• Check that freight is consistent with shipment as it is loaded on the truck.
• Ensure that no malicious freight is brought onto dock or loaded/unloaded from a truck in compliance with C-TPAT and PIP
• Report any inconsistencies in freight integrity or freight count to Terminal Manager/Lead Hand (i.e. Overages or shortages).
• Complete routine inspection of forklift and record findings on daily forklift maintenance form.
• Required to lift and move freight 50lbs on dock floor
• Performs general cleaning and tidying duties of work area
• Additional duties as assigned

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Reports directly to Terminal Manager
Internal Interaction with Lead Hands, Operations, Cargo Control Clerk

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
• Must have a valid propane forklift license (external)
• Minimum one (2) years of experience using forklift
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Experience working on a cross-dock facility necessary
• Must completed employer reference check
• Must be able to read and communicate in English

Shift  - Days 8am-5pm

Salary $22/h
