Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas state agency to assist in their search for a temporary Change Management Manager / Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist in Austin, Texas. In this position, you will be responsible for leading organizational change management efforts supporting a large-scale statewide financial system implementation, including stakeholder engagement, readiness planning, communications, testing coordination, and training support for agencies across Texas. 

Major duties
● Lead organizational change management and readiness activities supporting statewide implementation initiatives involving over 200 agencies and institutions of higher education.
● Coordinate agency communications related to testing, training, transition milestones, and readiness activities while reinforcing approved timelines and guidance.
● Conduct Business Readiness Assessments, monitor agency readiness risks, and provide executive-level reporting and recommendations to leadership.
● Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Train-the-Trainer (TTT), and End User Training (EUT) coordination activities, including participation tracking and stakeholder outreach.
● Facilitate feedback loops between agencies and program leadership to identify readiness gaps, escalations, and operational concerns.
● Develop readiness artifacts, communication materials, FAQs, governance documentation, and transition support resources.
● Direct and oversee OCM coordination activities, ensuring quality deliverables, alignment with project objectives, and adherence to established methodologies.
● Produce recurring status reports, readiness summaries, and risk assessments to support project governance and decision-making.

What are we looking for?
● 8+ years of experience in organizational change management supporting large-scale technology implementations or enterprise system transitions.
● 5+ years of experience executing change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, readiness assessments, and executive-level communications.
● Proven experience leading change management teams or coordination staff in a senior or lead capacity.
● Experience applying structured change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR, CCMP, CMAP, or equivalent frameworks.
● Experience supporting multi-workstream projects involving training coordination, participation tracking, readiness reporting, and escalation management.
● Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across large, diverse agency populations.
● Experience supporting ERP, financial system, or statewide technology modernization initiatives preferred.
● Prior experience supporting Texas state government or public sector organizations preferred.
● Prosci certification, CCMP, or related change management credential preferred.
