
Production Control Receiving Team Leader Job Summary:
This position is directly responsible for Warehouse Inbound/Outbound operations, leading a team of ~10 hourly team members responsible for all inbound/outbound/put away operations for JCB North American operations. This position offers challenging opportunities requiring quick thinking and problem-solving to support manufacturing operations. Reports directly to Production Control Supervisor
Production Control Receiving Team Leader Responsibilities
Inbound / Outbound Shipments
• Oversee all inbound shipments consisting of container, full truck load (FTL), less than truck load (LTL), FedEx, UPS, DHL small parcel shipments. Responsible for processing all manifest slips and verifying that the right product, in the right quantity, in the right condition, and time in order to support manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for receiving materials for the entire factory - production related, consumables, new product development, JCB INC office material - on stock inflating, and non-inflating orders.
• Cleaning and Maintenance - Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for customer traffic. Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Inner department support - Material receiving support includes New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Engineering, internal JCB business customers to advance company's mission
• Deliveries - Make timely daily deliveries to internal and external customers
• Responsible for separating all non-confirming material during the receiving process and notifying all applicable stakeholders in order to reduce quarantined material.
Put Away Operations
• Responsible for the transfer of goods to their correct warehouse stocking location and optimizing warehouse efficiency - material is stored fast and efficiently, warehouse space is maximized, material storage is simplified, organized, and easy to retrieve during the picking process. (kitting, line-side support, 2 bin system)
• Responsible for moving material in accordance with a fixed location process.
• Ensure all material that is physically moved is moved in the system and accounted for in a storage location.
Production Control Receiving Team Leader Minimum Qualifications
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests as applicable
• High school diploma
• Proficiency using SAP
• Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing within a Production Control environment
Production Control Receiving Team Leader Preferred Qualifications
• Associate's Degree
• Six Sigma / Lean process training a plus
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a warehouse receiving - leading a team
• Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, consignment/subcontracting operations
• Strong organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills
• Self-starter, flexible, and capable of managing multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal/leadership qualities working in a team environment
Production Control Receiving Team Leader Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Comfortable in an in-person office environment
• Technical competence is a plus
• Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
• Must have excellent follow-through skills
• Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
• Must be open to domestic and international travel
• Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
