Weld Team Leader Job Summary:
The Weld Team Leader leads and supports a production, operational and weld team to achieve safety, quality and deliver targets while promoting continuous improvement and team development.


Weld Team Leader Responsibilities
•    Lead and supervise a Robot weld operating/Manual welding team to meet daily production or operational targets
•    Ensure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
•    Monitor quality, productivity and performance
•    Allocate work and manage priorities to meet schedules
•    Coach, support and develop team members
•    Conduct team briefings, handovers and communications
•    Identify and escalate safety, quality or equipment issues
•    Support continuous improvement and problem solving activities
•    Complete basic people and production administration
•    Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers

Weld Team Leader Minimum Qualifications
•    Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
•    Experience with Standardized work flow
•    Ability to supervise or lead others
•    Strong commitment to safety and quality
•    Good communication and organisational skills
•    Time Management
•    5s procedures


Weld Team Leader Preferred Qualifications

•    Previous Weld Team Leader or supervisory experience
•    Experience with weld process GMAW (Mig welding)
•    Familiar with Robotic Welding operations (Kuka,Fanuc)
•    Experience managing production teams
•    Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
•    Fabricating Knowledge, some CNC and Press operations preferred

Weld Team Leader Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
•    People leadership and coaching skills
•    GMAW welding (mig) preferred
•    Operational decision making ability
•    Strong communication and teamwork
•    Organized, proactive and results focused mindset

Job Conditions
•    Manufacturing/factory environment (climate controlled)
•    Subject to noise and temperature changes
