Position: Customer Sales & Inventory Specialist

Location: Seattle (Ballard)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Pay: $23.00/hr.-$25.00/hr.

Express Employment Professionals – North Seattle is hiring a Customer Sales & Inventory Specialist for a well-established industrial supplier serving manufacturing and commercial clients.

This role is primarily customer-facing, with a strong focus on front-line showroom sales and service, along with occasional off-site inventory support at customer locations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers with product information, pricing, availability, and order processing
Accurately enter orders into a POS system and pull order tickets
Maintain showroom organization, including stocking, labeling, and merchandising assigned areas
Support internal teams with quotes, order fulfillment, and restocking
Process additional orders, returns, and credits as needed
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, customer-ready environment
Drive company vehicles to customer locations while following safety regulations
Monitor, count, and maintain inventory levels at customer sites
Deliver, stock, and organize replenishment orders and special purchases
Maintain barcode and labeling systems for accuracy and accessibility
Build strong relationships through consistent communication and service
Recommend inventory adjustments based on usage and trends
Coordinate with purchasing to prevent stock shortages and identify alternatives
Manage back orders and provide accurate ETA updates
Assist with returns, warranties, and tool repair coordination
Support setup and implementation of new inventory programs

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, typing, POS systems)
Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate documentation
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. regularly
Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude
Ability to travel locally as part of the position

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and be on your feet for most of the workday
Ability to negotiate stairs and transport items between buildings in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
