BILINGUAL SHOP METAL WORKER

Automation Personnel Services is looking for hard-working and dependable Bilingual Shop Metal Workers in Channelview, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced logistics warehouse environment.

Starting pay: $16.00-1st Shift

$16.50-2nd Shift

Schedule and Hours:
1st Shift- 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday-Friday

2nd Shift-6:00 pm – 6:00 am Monday-Friday

Some overtime on Saturday-6:00 am until 12:00pm

Shop Metal Worker Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to work on Day Shift and be flexible in work hours and duties, willing to assist and cross-train in various departments.
Experience in working with lathes or milling, manual machines.
Proficient in the use of tape measures to convert inches to decimals, grinders, and hand-held tools.
Load and unload items from machines.
Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
Remove products, machines attachments, or waste material from machines.
Move products, tools or fixtures between storage and work areas, by hand or using forklifts or cranes.
Be able to lift 75 lbs., and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling etc.

Shop Metal Worker Requirements and Qualifications

Basic Metal work-related skills, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Forklift experience.
Must know how to use a tape measure, calipers and micrometer.
Employees must be able to pay close attention to details and thoroughly in completing work tasks.
Excellent coordination and good physical condition
Able to work in extreme temperatures.
