Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Assistant Slitter Line Operator

Pay Rate
Starting at $17.00 per hour, increased based on experience

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Training will be conducted on 1st shift (5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Assistant Slitter Line Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Slitter Operator in daily production activities.

• Load steel coils onto the slitter using appropriate equipment.

• Set up slitter arms and prepare the machine for operation.

• Band coils and safely push them off the re-coiler.

• Perform frequent heavy lifting (up to 75lbs) in a hot, physically demanding environment.

• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.

• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Assistant Slitter Line Operator Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience in a metals warehouse or manufacturing setting.

• Any previous experience with slitter machines is highly preferred.

• Forklift and/or crane experience.

• Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced industrial environment.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

• Drug screening and background check required.

• Ability to frequently lift up to 75lbs unassisted (in-office lifting assessment required).
