The Warehouse Technician II plays a critical role in ensuring warehouse operations consistently meet the performance expectations of both the business and its customers. This position is responsible for executing warehouse functions with precision, mentoring peers, and supporting process improvement initiatives. The Technician II also serves as a subject matter resource, working collaboratively with team members and management to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

Execute core warehouse operations including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving with high accuracy, following established best practices and standard work procedures.
Conduct cycle counts in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
Process and complete special service instructions accurately for customer orders.
Monitor and manage shelf-life-sensitive inventory, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation and removal of expired materials.
Optimize warehouse storage through bin management, slotting analysis, and consolidation of duplicate locations.
Acquire and demonstrate competency in handling customer- or product-specific requirements, including reading and interpreting technical specifications.
Perform light fabrication or assembly tasks as needed, using tools and equipment with precision and efficiency.
Maintain certifications for the transport of Dangerous Goods, as required by local regulations.
Comply with all relevant federal and local shipping/receiving requirements.
Learn and apply quality system standards (e.g., ISO, AS, TS) relevant to the location; perform duties in line with SOPs and work instructions.
Report incidents and conduct preventive maintenance checks to support warehouse safety initiatives.
Promote open, respectful, and collaborative communication to support team success and customer satisfaction.
Serve as an indirect contributor to overall product quality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or training preferred.
4+ years of warehouse operations experience, ideally in industrial, electronics, or Aerospace/Defense distribution.
4+ years in inventory management, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and shelf-life control.
2+ years with distribution software systems; WMS and RF scanning experience is highly desirable.
Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) preferred.
Supervisory or team lead experience is a strong plus.
Must possess or be able to obtain Dangerous Goods certification within 90 days of hire (if applicable).
Certification or training in Delegated Product Release Verification (DPRV) is preferred but not required.
May require a valid driver’s license and be subject to DMV checks.
