Merchandise Handler - 1st shift Put away

Merchandise Handler: Harvard, IL

Our customer in Harvard, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Merchandise Handlers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities of the Merchandise Handler:

Unload merchandise from trailers, lift cartons, and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
Stock shelves with received goods and load cartons for outbound shipments.
Verify and maintain records of goods received or shipped to ensure smooth product flow.
Operate material handling equipment safely to move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
Pick products for shipment based on store order requests and inventory matching.
Prepare merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machines or other packaging devices.

Merchandise Handler Requirements and Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or supply chain preferred.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy of counts.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
Ability to lift up to 85 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.

Pay for Merchandise Handler: $16.90/hour.
