Line Leader – Production

Position Summary:
The Line Leader oversees daily operations on the production line, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. This role requires hands-on knowledge of all production positions and demonstrates leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the daily production schedule to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
- Document key production
- Ensure team members have necessary tools and training.
- Act as a backup production worker when needed.
- Report issues and updates to the supervisor promptly.
- Train staff on quality, safety, GMPs, and allergen protocols.
Competencies:
- Basic understanding of ingredients, formulations, and equipment operation.
- Ability to evaluate product quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and production standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in commercial baking preferred.
- Familiarity with Mixer, Machine Operator.
- Basic English literacy and math skills.
- Some supervisory experience is a plus.
Supervisory Duties:
Lead a diverse, multilingual team on the production floor.
Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Participate in safety initiatives and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs), bending, standing, walking, and pushing heavy equipment.
- Work in varying temperatures (hot and cold environments).
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noise and temperature extremes.
