Job Description

Our client, an independent oilfield services company, is seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to setup and operate Elastomer Lathe Machines. In this role, you’ll work with various taper threads, including rotary and IF threads. Apply today to secure your path to success with The Reserves Network!

Responsibilities:

Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions.
Adjust control settings to regulate various machining factors such as speed and thickness.
Produce and gauge a variety of elastomer compounds.
Verify conformance of finished elastomer to ensure that it meets specifications.
Confer with production personnel, engineers or others to resolve elastomer or machinery issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Requires one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school or a minimum of 2 years related experience.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience working with various taper threads, such as rotary and IF threads.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in machining tasks.
Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.

The base hourly range for this position is $18-$22 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
