Metrology Technician

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919

Pay Range: $18–$22/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Summary

Join our team as a Metrology Technician and work alongside experienced metrology inspectors and the Quality Manager to promote quality achievement and continuous performance improvement across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to verify tolerances on custom-manufactured parts
Understand and apply the company’s manufacturing procedures and quality standards
Assist the Quality Manager with maintaining quality system documentation
Support data analysis for quality metrics such as on-time delivery, internal reworks, and customer satisfaction
Prepare quality reports and assist with corrective actions
Perform part inspections using Micro-Vu and Keyence CMMs (experience with either is a plus)
Conduct optical inspections and measure part thickness as needed
Interface with engineering and sales teams to support production and customer requirements
Provide support in other production areas as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
3–10 years of relevant experience in metrology or a similar field

Preferred Skills & Considerations

Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and Lean Manufacturing practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and drop gauges
Strong multitasking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Knowledge or ability to learn TMP database systems
Experience using Micro-Vu and Keyence software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong calculation and data analysis skills
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
