Laser Programmer/Operator

Position Type: Direct Hire - Long Term
Location: Shelby Township, MI

Environment: Precision Sheet Metal and Laser Cutting
Pay: Up to $35/hr.

Shift:

Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Saturday as required (6:00 – 11:00 AM).

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Laser Programmer/Operator specializing in the prototype sheet metal industry. This role involves programming and operating laser cutting machines to produce precision components using 5-Axis laser technology.

Position Responsibilities:

Operate and program 5-Axis Lasers for precision sheet metal cutting.
Work with NTC, Trumpf, and Mitsubishi laser brands.
Utilize CO2 Lasers, BLM Lasers, Fiber Lasers, and other cutting systems.
Program lasers using PEPS Software (or alternative software based on experience).
Ensure quality and precision in laser-cut components.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize laser cutting processes.

Position Requirements:

Experience in prototype sheet metal manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of 5-Axis Laser programming and operation.
Proficiency with PEPS Software (or ability to learn new software as needed).
Familiarity with various laser types and cutting technologies.
Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure high precision in laser-cut parts.
